Gasketing Compounds

Anaerobic adhesives for sealing metal surfaces, flanges and housings.

Special Features:

  • Prevent friction.
  • Protect against pressure and temperature fluctuations, vibration, impact and load transfer.
  • Prevent fretting corrosion.
  • Bridge large tolerances.

Instructions for use

The surface must be clean, dry and free of contaminants such as oil or grease. If the material consists of passive metal, or if the cure is too slow, an activator should be used.

Assembly

Apply the product manually as a continuous track or by laminar screen process onto one flange side. The flanges or surfaces should be tightened immediately after joining together in order to avoid product structure splitting.
These products allow a low-pressure impermeability test immediately after installation.
Properly tightened connections possess an immediate sealing effect against low pressures.

Disassembly

Use a light rubber or plastic hammer to strike the sealed joint at a 90° angle to the sealed surface (direction “open“).

Cleaning

Lay the cured product in solvent and then mechanically remove the residue.
