Modelling & Repair Film
Modelling Film:
For modelling, forming and applying dual-component adhesives
Reinforced Repair Mesh
- For constructive adhesive applications.
- The combination of reinforced mesh and dual-component adhesive provides a stiff, high strength repair.
- Typical application areas include bumpers, headlights cab parts, interior panels, spoilers and plastic containers.
Instructions for use
- Ensure surface is clean, dry and free of contaminants such as oil or fat.
- Sand the damaged spot on both sides with grain 80 sandpaper. Grind a 50 mm-long V-shaped depression (with a grinder) and sand this again with grain 80 sandpaper.
- Blow clear the repair area with compressed air and then spray with a solvent. Wipe both sides with a clean cloth. The adhesive surface should be perfectly clean. The adhesive application can be carried out after 2 minutes.
- Cut a suitable piece of Reinforced Repair Mesh, apply the PUR 6101 to the Repair Mesh and bring onto the damaged area within 50 seconds.
- Immediately press as much adhesive as possible from the back through the V-depression, apply the Modelling Film to the front and model the mass as required. Avoid direct skin contact.
- Remove both foils after 15 minutes and sand the surface. (Use grain 80 and then grain 180 for final sanding). High speeds or high temperatures should be avoided.
